Change the Narrative.
Exciting news! We're opening a fair trade and survivor made store!
The heart behind this store is the fundamental belief that every life is valuable. And each person deserves a safe workplace and a living wage. We want to be a part of cultivating life-changing sustainable incomes for the most marginalized people across the globe. We will carry products made by survivors of human trafficking and artisans. We have some big plans for this pursuit and we are so glad you are a part of this world-changing family. This is wouldn't be possible without you!
The name Mosaic ties well with Jars of Hope. A mosaic is made of small glass pieces creating a beautiful masterpiece. The glass is something already symbolic of jars and it fits our mission at Mosaic as well. We will carry pieces made from people around the world and believe that with each purchase you are connecting to that person. Our narratives are coming together. Your specific 'glass piece' connects with someone else's creating this mosaic we long to create.
That is why we chose the tagline 'Change the Narrative.' A story has a beginning, middle, and end. Narrative, in contrast to story, is much bigger. It’s a way of looking at the world. An overarching concept that influences thought, meaning and decision-making. It doesn’t have a clear beginning, middle, and end like a story, but rather is unfolding over time. Narrative gives meaning to a broader vision, a view of what’s possible, and that's why we chose this direction.
Human trafficking is an incredibly daunting issue around the world. We often feel without hope and that we cannot make a difference. My friend, I am here to tell you that we can. Together, we can be a force for good in this messed up world. Mosaic Collective is just beginning and we're ready to change the narrative from brokenness and destruction to hope and restoration.
